Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiology Assistant to join our team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of a lung function and sleep service, working closely with our experienced Physiologists.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lung Function Testing:
    Assist in the provision of a quality assured lung function testing service, performing spirometry, gas transfer, and lung volume measurements on children.
  • Sleep Investigation:
    Assist in the setup and return of home sleep monitoring equipment, download sleep studies, and prepare reports under the supervision of a qualified Physiologist.
  • General Duties:
    Answer telephone enquiries, make appointments, and perform administrative tasks to support the Physiologists with their workload.
Requirements
  • 2 Science 'A' levels or equivalent
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Experience of performing quality assured spirometry, gas transfer, and lung volume measurements
  • Experience of setting up sleep studies
