About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide oversight, governance, and management of the Programme, ensuring effective two-way flow of information and collaboration with the Enterprise portfolio.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously update the Change Framework, leading on effective implementation in the Programme.
  • Drive a culture of excellence, inspiring collective and individual performance within the Programme to realise benefits through effective delivery.
  • Manage demand, resource planning, and capacity planning across the Programme, ensuring continuous alignment with the Enterprise Portfolio and other Functional Change Portfolios.
  • Ensure programme quality, aligning with Group Strategy, and challenging and supporting the Programme through its lifecycle.
  • Establish transparent and effective communication channels across the Programme and with stakeholders.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of interdependencies between projects and their impact on the Programme.
  • Develop and own the Programme dashboard and reporting tools.
  • Proactively address programme and project-level issues.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of the Programme to assess adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adopt best practices aligned to the Enterprise PMO Centre of Excellence, the Change Framework, and supporting toolkit.
  • Provide oversight, governance, and assurance to all aspects of the Programme.
  • Collaborate with project and programme work-streams, contributing to overall planning, data analysis, problem-solving, and project coordination.
Requirements
  • Experience in managing a Portfolio of projects across a business function.
  • Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and project governance.
  • Capacity and resourcing planning expertise, identifying bottlenecks and common pinch points, and delivery conflicts across multiple projects.
  • Project and dependency planning and scheduling skills, evaluating do-ability of plans considering volume of change and supply/demand.
  • Previous experience with PM tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and efficiency of the Portfolio.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate portfolio-level risks, issues, and dependencies, identifying mitigating actions and tracking through to resolution.
  • Confident individual with excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Able to work within a fast-paced environment.
