Key Responsibilities
  • Connect the programme with the Enterprise portfolio via the EPMO, fostering effective collaboration and information exchange.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously update the Change Framework to ensure it meets our evolving needs.
  • Lead the implementation of the Change Framework within the Programme, driving cultural change and behavioural shifts.
  • Promote a culture that inspires collective and individual excellence, driving benefits realization through effective delivery.
  • Manage demand, resources, and capacity planning across the programme, ensuring continuous alignment with the Enterprise Portfolio and other Functional Change Portfolios.
  • Ensure programme quality, aligning with Group Strategy, and challenging and supporting the programme throughout its lifecycle.
  • Maintain transparent and effective communication channels across the programme and with stakeholders.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of interdependencies between projects and their impact on the programme.
  • Develop and own programme dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Proactively address programme and project-level issues, preventing and resolving them.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to assess adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Adopt best practices aligned with the Enterprise PMO Centre of Excellence, the Change Framework, and supporting toolkit.
  • Provide oversight, governance, and assurance to all programme aspects.
  • Collaborate with project and programme work-streams, contributing to overall planning, data analysis, problem-solving, and project coordination.
  • Monitor progress against plans, liaising with the programme manager to ensure the plan remains on track.
  • Ensure effective recording of progress, escalating issues to the programme manager and stakeholders as required.
  • Schedule Programme and Project review meetings, SteerCos, and governance meetings.
  • Update governance meeting Terms of Reference and share with relevant stakeholders.
  • Capture and issue key notes and actions arising from review meetings and steering committees.
  • Set up and maintain project files, manage user access permissions on the Teams workspace, and maintain document control procedures.
  • Ensure the PM software tool is continually updated and configured effectively for programme requirements.
  • Provide software tool support, ensuring relevant stakeholders have access as needed.
  • Support the coordination of project and workstream inputs to the programme business case, including project costs and benefits.
  • Track and monitor programme and project dependencies and interdependencies with other programmes and projects and the broader business.
  • Prepare and send the programme weekly report to stakeholders.
  • Schedule and lead Gateway meetings, inviting relevant stakeholders, ensuring all information is provided for a go/no-go decision.
  • Monitor, analyse, and coordinate RAID logs, risks, issues, actions, dependencies, changes, decisions, and lessons learned.
  • Manage the coordination, approvals, and monitoring of project change requests.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement best practices and lessons learned from completed projects across the organisation.
About You

We're looking for an experienced Programme Management Office Lead who has a proven track record in managing a portfolio of projects across a business function. You'll have experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies, project governance, capacity and resourcing planning, and project and dependency planning.

You'll be a confident individual who can build relationships with Senior Business leads and respectfully challenge where required. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
