About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  1. Connect the programme with the Enterprise portfolio via the EPMO, ensuring effective two-way flow of information and collaboration for alignment.
  2. Develop, implement, and continuously update the Change Framework to ensure it is fit for purpose, leading on effective implementation in the Programme.
  3. Play a key role in raising the bar on how we deliver the programme, changing mindsets and behaviours to enable that.
  4. Promote a culture that motivates and inspires excellent collective and individual performance within the programme to realise the benefits through effective delivery.
  5. Manage demand, resource planning, and capacity planning across the programme, ensuring continuous alignment with the Enterprise Portfolio and other Functional Change Portfolios.
  6. Ensure the management quality of the programme, aligning with Group Strategy, challenging and supporting the programme through the lifecycle.
  7. Ensure transparent and effective communication channels across the programme and with stakeholders.
  8. Gain a thorough understanding of interdependencies between projects and their impact on the programme.
  9. Develop and own the programme dashboard and reporting tools.
  10. Proactively involved at programme and project level to prevent and resolve issues.
  11. Conduct regular reviews and audits of the programme to assess adherence to standards and identify areas for improvement.
  12. Ensure adoption of best practice aligned to the Enterprise PMO Centre of Excellence, the Change Framework, and supporting toolkit.
  13. Provide oversight, governance, and assurance to all aspects of the programme.
  14. Actively liaise with project/work-streams and contribute to overall planning, data analysis, problem-solving, and project/co-ordination.
  15. Monitor progress against plans with the projects/work-streams, liaising with the programme manager to ensure the plan remains on track.
  16. Ensure effective recording of progress in line with the reporting framework and escalating issues of concern to the programme manager and other stakeholders as required.
  17. Schedule Programme and Project review meetings, SteerCos, and all governance meetings.
  18. Update governance meeting Terms of Reference and share with relevant stakeholders.
  19. Capture and issue key notes/actions arising from review meetings and steering committees.
  20. Set up and maintain project files and manage user access permissions on the Teams workspace; maintain document control procedures.
  21. Ensure the PM software tool is continually updated by PMs and is configured effectively for programme requirements.
  22. Provide software tool support, ensuring relevant stakeholders have access as and when required.
  23. Support the co-ordination of project and workstream inputs to the programme business case, including project costs and benefits.
  24. Track and monitor programme and project dependencies and interdependencies between other programmes and projects and the broader business.
  25. Prepare and send the programme weekly report to stakeholders.
  26. Schedule and lead Gateway meetings, inviting relevant stakeholders, ensuring all information is provided on which a go/no-go decision can be made.
  27. Monitor, analyse, and co-ordinate RAID logs, risks, issues, actions, dependencies, changes, decisions, and lessons learned.
  28. Manage the coordination, approvals, and monitoring of project change requests.
  29. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and implement best practices and lessons learned from completed projects across the organisation.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Programme Management Office Lead who has a proven track record in managing a portfolio of projects across a business function. You will have experience of Waterfall and Agile methodologies and project governance, as well as capacity and resourcing planning.

You will be a confident individual who can build relationships with Senior Business leads and respectfully challenge where required. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
