Part-Time Family Liaison Officer

Job Description:
Our academy is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive transition for pupils and their families following permanent exclusion. As a Part-Time Off-Site IPT Member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring pupils feel supported and valued while introducing them to our academy and its ethos.
About the Position:
In this specialist role, you will work closely with pupils and their families off-site, providing guidance, support, and a positive first impression of our academy. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Initial Engagement: Serving as the first point of contact for pupils and families, establishing trust and understanding their immediate needs.
- Specialist Support: Working with pupils in their homes or other agreed locations to provide interim educational and emotional support until they transition to our site.
- Caseload Management: Adapting to a frequently changing caseload, ensuring seamless support for all individuals involved.
Requirements:
We are seeking a professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build trust with pupils and families from diverse backgrounds. A strong understanding of child development and educational principles is essential, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
