Job Description

The Senior Modeller will provide technical support to consultants/partners, acting as Yorkshire Water's 'Expert Client', liaise with and support internal and external stakeholders on issues relating to modelling/sewer network risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute towards technical innovation and manage the technical delivery of designated model use and model maintenance projects.
  • Ensure that models are developed, delivered, and implemented within the required timescales to ensure compliance with Yorkshire Water's model standards requirements.
  • Undertake model build, verification, model maintenance, and scenario modelling, providing results in a coherent format suitable for decision-making across operational, planning, and strategic areas of the business.

The ideal candidate will have a degree qualification in a relevant discipline and extensive knowledge and experience in urban drainage modelling, excellent communication skills, and the ability to explain complex processes and issues to non-technical stakeholders.
