Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Junior Footwear Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of customer-focused product collections that align with our brand strategy. Your expertise in designing mens footwear for high-fashion retailers will be invaluable in supporting our designers and driving our design lead, fashion-relevant collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze trends, new materials, trims, and color palettes to inform design decisions.
- Design new products incorporating original ideas and provide technical drawings for suppliers.
- Work closely with the buying team to ensure fit and aesthetics meet brand requirements.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop customer-focused product collections.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A strong understanding of and passion for the Kurt Geiger brand, customer, and collections.
- The ability to produce high-quality work quickly and efficiently.
- Engagement and enthusiasm for the fashion industry, with strong knowledge of luxury and high-street trends.
- The ability to produce original, creative, and brand-appropriate ideas based on upcoming trends.
- Flexibility and the ability to change and reprioritize tasks as needed.
- Strong technical and practical knowledge to deliver accurate samples.
