Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Junior Footwear Designer to join our small team. As a key member of our design team, you will assist in the development of customer and market-focused product collections each season. Your responsibilities will include researching trends, new materials, trims, and color palettes, and designing new products incorporating your original ideas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of customer and market-focused product collections each season
  • Research trends, new materials, trims, and color palettes
  • Design new products incorporating your original ideas
  • Provide technical drawings for suppliers
  • Finalize approved designs for production
  • Work closely with the buying team to ensure fit and aesthetics meet brand requirements
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of and passion for the Kurt Geiger brand, customer, and collections
  • Ability to produce high-quality work (Cads and Specs) quickly and efficiently
  • Engagement and enthusiasm about the fashion industry with strong knowledge of luxury and high-street trends
  • Ability to produce original, creative, and brand-appropriate ideas based on upcoming trends
  • Ability to work across multiple product categories
  • Confidence in presenting designs formally and informally
  • Excellent communication skills with your team, other teams, and suppliers
  • Flexibility with the ability to change and reprioritize tasks when required
  • Strong technical and practical knowledge to deliver accurate samples
  • Ability to take responsibility for your design work, following samples through until a perfect sample is delivered to deadlines
