Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing individual to support a pupil with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) struggles in our year 3 class.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in day-to-day tasks in the classroom, ensuring a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create a harmonious atmosphere for all pupils, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Identify and report gaps in the pupil's learning to the relevant class teacher, ensuring targeted support and interventions.
  • Recognize and respond to situations where the pupil may become overstimulated in the classroom environment, adapting strategies to promote calm and focus.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualifications and training for this role, as outlined in the FAQ section on our website.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, supporting the class teacher and other support staff to achieve the best outcomes for the pupil.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and other stakeholders.
