About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Product Buyer to join our team at Yours Clothing. As a Senior Product Buyer, you will be responsible for implementing sourcing and buying strategies for a given range of products, owning and supporting the delivery of agreed target KPIs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan a commercial range with the buyer or product manager, ensuring that supply base has the capability to meet requirements.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for best price while maintaining product integrity and standards in production.
  • Understand and contribute towards brand and product handwriting.
  • Ensure that agreed levels of good, better, and best product are bought.
  • Review competitor activity and regularly assess price architecture.
  • Meet deadlines within the buying calendar and adhere to the critical path.
  • Set clear performance standards to self and team members.
  • Present the range in trading, selection, sign-off, and review meetings.
  • Understand profit and intake margin strategy, focusing on achieved target margin.
  • Actively trade the department, review commitment against current sales performance, and set action plans accordingly.
  • Work with garment tech teams to take joint responsibility for fit and quality.
  • Regularly visit stores and work closely with retail colleagues.
  • Work across supply base/buying team to source and develop new product opportunities.
  • Secure dates for product sign-off at appropriate points in the season.
  • Oversee critical path management for the department.

  • You demonstrate outstanding loyalty and commitment to the business.
  • A relevant fashion/buying degree is desirable.
  • You have strong commercial awareness.
  • You have success at Assistant Buyer level.
  • You have knowledge of building a profitable range.
  • You have Microsoft Excel skills.
