Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mathematical Modelling Specialist to join our team at Haas F1 Team. This role will involve developing mathematical models, advanced algorithms, and solvers to improve car performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in car design and trackside operations.
  • Maintain expertise in rigid/flexible body kinematics/dynamics theory, simulation workflows, software development techniques, vehicle engineering processes, and racing car design/architecture.
  • Collaborate with Vehicle Performance and Dynamics Engineers to develop modelling and analysis tools and techniques.
  • Research alternative approaches to physics modelling and analysis.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Mathematics, Computational Mechanics, or another STEM subject, with significant experience in applied mathematics.
  • MSc/PhD preferred.
  • At least 3 years' experience in motor racing or mainstream automotive, vehicle dynamics/simulation/control is desirable.
  • A strong technical background in applied mathematics, physics, or engineering, preferably in automotive/aeronautical/racing applications.
  • Proficiency in compiled and object-oriented programming languages is essential.
Estimated Salary:$120,000 - $150,000 per year.
