About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide Expert Clinical Care
    • Deliver high-quality patient care to children with acquired or congenital heart disease, working collaboratively with the multi-professional team to manage medical care and make informed decisions on interventions.
  • Develop and Maintain Clinical Skills
    • Develop and maintain a skill set for the paediatric cardiac intensive care environment, with a focus on advanced clinical practice and decision-making.
  • Contribute to Clinical Service Development
    • Contribute to the development of clinical services and improve patient outcomes through evidence-based practice, quality improvement, audit, and research.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals
    • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients and their families.
  • Develop Personal Philosophy
    • Develop and maintain a personal philosophy for Advanced Clinical Practice and contribute to the development of the trust's strategic vision for Advanced Clinical Practice.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Master's level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
    • Registered as a non-medical prescriber and actively practicing.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrable evidence of skills associated with critical care provision and case management of patients within critical care.
    • Evidence of an e-portfolio illustrating learning continuum and professional development.
    • Ability to develop skills as part of the medical rota, including nights and weekends.
    • Named dedicated Consultant and Advanced Clinical Practitioner supervisor to support skills and educational needs.
