About the Role

This is a Data Insights Manager position within the Household Data Insights team at Admiral Insurance Plc. The successful candidate will work closely with Household's Senior Management to ensure data-driven decision making and strategic advantage.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of analysts to understand the business strategy and deliver against key priorities.
  • Work in an agile environment, handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, communicating backlogs, and meeting deadlines.
  • Attend steering and working groups to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Engage with HH Claims and Core teams to establish accurate, effective, and timely reporting.
  • Provide proactive, comprehensive, and insightful analysis and communication of key data and potential areas of interest to HH leadership.
  • Develop a framework to utilize policy data and claims data in conjunction, leveraging Google Cloud Platform and Looker to identify trends.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of HH Claims/Core operations.

Personal Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs among analysts, demonstrate best practices, and maintain team morale and well-being.
  • Develop talent within your area by setting priorities and targeted objectives.
  • Ensure high-level department reporting is relevant and accurate.
  • Ensure required data from internal systems, suppliers, and other external sources is accessible, utilized, and well-governed.
  • Keep up to date with potential projects and assist in prioritization through providing appropriate metrics.
  • Work with HODs and Change facilitators to ensure integrity of tests/project ROI.
  • Oversee and/or develop business cases for projects and initiatives.
  • Responsible for senior stakeholder data commentary and ensuring the MI team conducts effective investigation of data patterns.
  • Be an expert in the data available and how it can be used to answer business problems.
  • Identify potential operational and product areas for improvement.
  • Assist with internal data products as an expert in HH data.
  • Be the key point of contact for data provisioning, servicing, and pipelines.
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure a robust process is in place for modeling, forecasting, and estimating department resource requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Household data and/or processes.
  • Analytical and management experience.
  • Proven track record of strategic contribution.
  • Effective senior stakeholder management.
  • Experience in delivering business cases or leading change with appraisals of effectiveness.
