About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our data services team at Principality Building Society. As our Head of Data Services, you will be responsible for delivering data capabilities across the organisation, driving business performance and innovation through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Strategy: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our data infrastructure, including data warehouses, lakes, and cloud-based platforms.
  • Data Governance: Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure data quality, compliance, and security.
  • Product & Services: Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for data services.
  • Engineering and Analytics: Collaborate with business units to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) & Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and metrics to measure success.
Requirements
  • Product Ownership: Strong experience in managing the lifecycle of data products, from ideation to launch and beyond.
  • Delivery Management: Proven track record of delivering complex data projects using agile methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the regulatory environment within the UK financial services sector.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Leadership: Be a leader both within function & across the organisation. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing team.
