About the Role

This is a Data Insights Manager position within the Household Data Insights team at Admiral Insurance Plc. The successful candidate will work closely with Household's Senior Management to ensure the effective use of data for strategic advantage and operational efficiency.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of analysts to understand the business strategy and deliver against key priorities.
  • Work in an agile environment, handling multiple tasks, setting priorities, communicating backlogs, and meeting deadlines.
  • Attend steering and working groups to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Engage with HH Claims and Core teams to establish accurate, effective, and timely reporting, leveraging operational reporting suites like Looker.
  • Provide proactive, comprehensive, and insightful analysis and communication of key data and potential areas of interest to HH leadership.
  • Develop a framework to combine policy data and claims data, utilizing Google Cloud Platform and Looker to identify trends.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of HH Claims/Core operations.

Personal Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs among analysts, demonstrate best practices, and maintain team morale and well-being.
  • Develop talent within your area by setting priorities and targeted objectives.
  • Ensure high-level department reporting is relevant and accurate.
  • Ensure required data from internal systems, suppliers, and external sources is accessible, utilized, and well-governed.
  • Keep up to date with potential projects and assist in prioritization through providing appropriate metrics.
  • Work with HODs and Change facilitators to ensure integrity of tests/project ROI.
  • Oversee and/or develop business cases for projects and initiatives.
  • Responsible for senior stakeholder data commentary and ensuring the MI team conducts effective investigation of data patterns.
  • Be an expert in the data available and how it can be used to answer business problems.
  • Identify potential operational and product areas for improvement.
  • Assist with internal data products as an expert in HH data (Analytics, Fraud, Pricing, etc.).
  • Be the key point of contact for liaising with DLH and Data Tribe to ensure data provisioning, servicing, and pipelines are fit for purpose.
  • Liaise with Finance to ensure a robust process is in place for modeling, forecasting, and estimating the cost of department resource requirements.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Household data and/or processes.
  • Analytical and management experience.
  • Proven track record of strategic contribution.
  • Effective senior stakeholder management.
  • Experience in delivering business cases or leading change with appraisals of the effectiveness of change activity.
