We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced team manager to join our Care Experienced Young People's service. As a Children's Social Care Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting your team of skilled social workers and practitioners to build long-term relationships with children and young people, helping them reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Support your team to build strong relationships with children and young people, and help them achieve their goals.
- Ensure your team is applying relevant legislation and regulations surrounding children in care and care experienced young people.
- Manage adolescent risk and have a good understanding of contextual safeguarding.
- Be responsible for QA of work and supporting your team to produce high-quality work with a positive impact on the children and young people they work with.
- Work creatively with multi-disciplinary groups to problem-solve and care plan for children in care and care leavers, ensuring they have good quality permanence plans driving their journey through care.
- A social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
- Satisfactory completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
- Experience working within social care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment.
- QA of Care/Pathway Plans and driving these forward.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to build effective professional relationships with children, families, and other professionals.
- Knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to children's social work.
- Exceptional recording and planning skills.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Up to £2,000 annual retention payment (£1,000 paid every six months).
