About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust. As a Medical Secretary, you will play a critical role in supporting our clinical teams by providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical audio transcription services for clinical correspondence
- Carry out administrative instructions dictated in correspondence, including booking appointments and updating investigation trackers
- Deal with internal and external telephone enquiries from patients, staff, and external agencies
- Undertake routine office duties, including printing, scanning, and filing
- Organize workload to meet KPIs
Requirements
- Qualified to RSA III/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification/demonstrable skills in word processing
- Experience of using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Experience of working within tight time frames and to deadlines
- Experience of audio typing
