Assistant Guest Relations Manager Role

Seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as an Assistant Guest Relations Manager at The Caledonian Edinburgh.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a point of contact for regular and VIP Guests, providing exceptional service and meeting individual needs.
  • Complete Daily Duties and checklists, supporting the duty management team in supervising tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide pre-arrival communication with VIP guests, gathering information to deliver tailored and personalized service during their stay.
  • Respond to important emails, phone calls, and messages in a timely manner, crafting tailored and personalized responses in line with brand standards.
  • Assist the duty management team in representing senior managers in their absence and manage, record, and resolve issues or emergencies that arise.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrate current knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
  • Ensure constant cost and inventory control of items ordered by the personal concierge team and work with the Front of House Manager in sourcing new items.
  • Conduct Health and Safety Checks and Fire Walks, maintaining a good status awareness of all hotel areas when required.
  • Assist other departments as necessary, including periodic night coverage and covering Duty Management shifts as needed.
