Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily caf operations, including budgeting, stock control, and hygiene.
  • Supervise and develop the caf team, conduct appraisals, and manage schedules.
  • Coordinate catering for events, ensuring resources and budgets are in place.
  • Collaborate with the Youth Manager on food provision for youth programs.
  • Maintain financial procedures, stock orders, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Develop and implement a nutritious food menu that meets the needs of the local community and service users.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Professional Catering/Hospitality or recognized catering qualification.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (essential).
  • Substantial experience in catering management, youth/community settings, and performance management.
  • Strong communication, budget management, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and promote continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of meeting dietary requirements for different cultures, such as halal foods and recipes.
