Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily café operations, including budgeting, stock control, and hygiene.
  • Supervise and develop the café team, conduct appraisals, and manage schedules.
  • Coordinate catering for events, ensuring resources and budgets are in place.
  • Collaborate with the Youth Manager on food provision for youth programs.
  • Maintain financial procedures, stock orders, and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding regulations.
  • Ensure food menu is nutritious and meets the needs of the local community and service users.
  • Prepare and deliver cold drinks and meals.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Professional Catering/Hospitality or recognised Catering qualification.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Essential).
  • Substantial experience in catering management, youth/community settings, and performance management.
  • Strong communication, budget management, and team leadership skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing needs and promote continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of meeting dietary requirements for different cultures, for example, halal foods and recipes.
  • This role requires a basic DBS if you have one, great if not, then you must be happy to obtain one.

Chefs Bay Hospitality is a leading provider of catering services in the community youth hub in Liverpool. We are committed to delivering high-quality food service and supporting youth programs.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £16.50 (holiday pay paid weekly) and £18.49 (hourly rate) for experienced candidates.
  • 36 hours per week.
