We are seeking an experienced External Sales Manager to join our team at The Clay Partnership Ltd, based in the South West region.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a results-driven sales professional to develop and execute sales strategies that drive business growth and revenue expansion.

You will be responsible for managing all sales within the South West region, building trusted relationships with new and existing clients to secure initial and ongoing sales, while providing exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering on sales targets, researching prospects, and identifying sales opportunities in line with our sales strategy.

You will also be expected to represent and enhance our brand at all times, taking the initiative to provide insights and reporting to contribute to process improvement and successful marketing and sales of our products.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver on sales targets based on square meterage and revenue within the South West region.
  • Research prospects in line with our sales strategy set out by the Sales Director.
  • Build relationships with new and existing clients by providing support, information, and guidance.
  • Understand client needs & site requirements to recommend solutions including site surveys.
  • Achieve sales against targets, including maintaining a product mix of both hire and purchase.
  • Monitor client accounts and identify opportunities to assist clients with new projects and needs.
  • Visit current clients to maintain excellent relationships, review current requirements in line with their contract, and look for opportunities to offer maintenance or upsell.
