Hi-Rise Bread Co. is seeking a skilled Pastry Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will be responsible for managing the production of a variety of baked goods, including quickbreads, pastries, cookies, and tarts. Your expertise in pastry preparation, presentation, and display will be essential in maintaining the high standards of our bakery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement new pastry recipes and products
  • Manage the production of seasonal jams, sauces, and fillings
  • Supervise a small team of pastry staff and provide guidance on pastry preparation and presentation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new projects and products

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of professional pastry experience in a restaurant or bakery setting
  • Strong knowledge of pastry preparation, presentation, and display
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
