About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Culinary Specialist to join our team at Compass Group UK. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to meet the needs of our clients and customers.
  • Menu Development: Work with our culinary team to develop and implement new menu ideas and concepts.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet our culinary needs.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of kitchen staff to ensure that we are meeting our culinary standards and goals.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients and customers, ensuring that they have a positive experience with our food services.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

  • Culinary Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Culinary Education: A City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven leadership skills, with experience in supervising and leading a team.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene: A Food Hygiene certificate and a strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility: A flexible approach to working, with the ability to work varied shifts and hours.
