Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide personalized Maths and English lessons to students with Social and Emotional Health Needs in our Colchester area.
The ideal candidate will have an understanding of SEMH needs and be able to offer emotional support, encouraging students to develop coping strategies, key social skills, resilience, confidence and independence.
This role involves reengaging students who have been out of education for a period of time, helping them reintegrate back into the school and daily routine.
We work closely with our tutors to monitor student progression and support effective learning.
Contract Details- Location: Our base in or around Colchester
- Position: Learning Support Specialist
- Type: Contract
- Duration: Dependent on each student's progress
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent qualification
- 6 months+ experience working in a UK school
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
- Experience working with SEN or similar
- Holds Right to Work in the UK
- Holds an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate
- Provides two professional child-related references
The estimated salary for this role is £25 per hour. Working hours can differ between 1-3 hours per session.
