Butcher Team Lead

About the Butchery Department
We are looking for experienced Butchers to lead our Butchery Departments and develop their business. This role provides the opportunity to work with customers, understand the local market, and deliver great service.
This position offers the flexibility to run a butchery business without financial risk. We seek someone with good product knowledge of all meat proteins, who is self-motivated and has a desire to succeed.
Main Responsibilities
Maintaining high standards in all areas, including stock, food safety procedures, staff morale, and customer satisfaction
Developing a business plan to support sales and profitability growth in the department
Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, accepting orders, and offering helpful advice
Ordering and managing stock, including stocktaking
Effectively developing and managing a small team, including staff rotas
Cutting meat to order
Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
Controlling waste
