Job Title: Landscape Maintenance Team Lead

Job Summary:

The Parks Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscape Maintenance Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of landscape maintenance technicians and trainees, ensuring they are highly motivated, professional, and working efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line-manage a team of landscape maintenance technicians and trainees, demonstrating excellent leadership skills and leading by example.
  • Ensure all work carried out achieves high levels of efficiency and effectiveness, and that all operations are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Help ensure the green estate is maintained and presented to a high standard.
  • Support the team in promoting the values and culture of the organisation.

Requirements:

  • A full driving licence is required.
  • Experience of landscape maintenance and horticulture.
  • Experience of carrying out landscape maintenance to a high standard.
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills and lead by example.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with team members, other Trust staff, public, and third parties.
  • NPTC Level 2 Certificate of competence in Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-cutting, Felling, and Processing Trees up to 380mm.
  • NPTC Level 2 (PA1/PA6) Safe use and application of pesticides by handheld equipment.
  • Be prepared and motivated to take on further training that will help enhance your individual skill levels, allowing you and The Trust to develop depth of skills and experience.
