Role Overview

This is a Director of Infrastructure Development role that requires a high level of expertise in urban planning and consenting. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project finances, experience in coordinating consent applications, and excellent communication skills. They will be able to provide technical advice to clients, support negotiations with statutory bodies, and line manage/mentor colleagues.

The estimated annual salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading town planning and consenting inputs on major infrastructure projects
  • Providing technical advice to clients and managing their consenting requirements
  • Coordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications
  • Supporting negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders
  • Line management/mentoring colleagues

Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in town planning or equivalent
  • Member of (or eligible for) the RTPI
  • Strong understanding of project finances
  • Some project management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment
