Job Overview
AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Director to lead our infrastructure development projects. As a trusted consulting firm, we deliver professional services throughout the project lifecycle, from advisory to construction management.

About the Role
As an Associate EIA Director, you will manage multidisciplinary environmental inputs to large-scale development projects. Your expertise will help clients gain development consent and transform our infrastructure, achieving net zero goals. You will work across various sectors, including energy generation, transportation, and regeneration projects. With a portfolio of projects covering multiple consenting regimes, you will have opportunities to grow your skills and experience.

Your Responsibilities
* Lead multidisciplinary environmental inputs across various projects, preparing EIA screening letters, Scoping Reports, and Environmental Statements* Collaborate with integrated design teams to identify environmental constraints and develop solutions* Create business opportunities and support fee and technical proposal development* Inspire staff development and mentoring* Champion AECOM's environmental services* Work with internal supply teams and members of the wider business

Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate interest and experience in coordinating multidisciplinary environmental inputs. Key requirements include:
* Proven experience in managing EIA projects and applicable planning legislation* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, coordinating inputs from specialist technical teams* Confidence when engaging with stakeholders* Excellent verbal and report writing skills* Project management skills, including staff resource and budget management* Degree in a relevant environmental discipline (preferably a Masters degree) and appropriate professional membership* Chartered Environmentalist status* Interest in line management duties and staff mentoring* Experience of the DCO and/or TWAO consenting regimes
