Job Title**Senior Manager of Counseling and Therapy**
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our senior leadership team as Senior Manager of Counseling and Therapy. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with complex medical needs.
Main Responsibilities- Manage the therapies team, including line management of therapists and counsellors
- Foster positive communications through regular team meetings/socials, and build a collaborative and collegiate working culture across the organisation
- Ensure all staff receive appropriate training and have access to further professional development opportunities
- Oversight of all enquiries and referrals from initial contact, through assessment and end of support, with assistance from the team administrator
- Facilitate the provision of Clinical Supervision for the therapies team
- Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the organisation ensuring safeguarding cover is always available via nominated deputies in your absence
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Experience of managing a team, including line management of therapists and counsellors
- Strong understanding of clinical and therapeutic services, including counselling and therapy models
- Ability to work strategically and operationally, with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with colleagues, external partners, and stakeholders
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple projects
