About the Role

This senior role is responsible for overseeing academic administrative policies, procedures, and systems at the Institute for Arts in Therapy & Education. As an expert in higher education governance, you will lead on external regulatory processes, work closely with Course Directors to ensure compliance, and manage student data for reporting purposes.

The Institute for Arts in Therapy & Education is a leading independent therapy training institution in London, with over 30 years of experience and approximately 300 on-site students enrolled. We are a full member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead on all external regulatory processes and work closely with Course Directors to ensure compliance.\
  • Manage student data for reporting purposes, including recording assessment marks and overseeing exam boards.\
  • Oversight of assessment administration, preparation of exam boards, and liaison with external examiners.\
  • Be the primary point of contact with partner university UEL departments (e.g., Student Records).\
  • E nsure course documentation complies with University and accrediting body standards.\
  • Devising new processes and updating policies as appropriate.\
  • Reviewing academic administrative schedules and ensuring deadlines are met.\
  • Fielding or handling academic misconduct issues or complaints.\
  • Preparing documentation for external audits.\
  • Working with Course Directors to prepare any new course submission documents.\

What You'll Need

\

We are looking for a candidate with previous experience as an Academic Registrar or in a senior academic administrative role. A relevant undergraduate degree and/or professional qualification are essential. You should have extensive knowledge and experience of the Higher Education sector, including working within a regulatory framework. Excellent communication and presentation skills are also required.
