About the Role

The Royal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional candidate to fill the position of Lead Professional for Clinical Education. As a senior member of the education and development team, you will play a crucial role in leading and driving innovative educational programs for healthcare professionals.



Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement educational strategies and programs for healthcare professionals within the NHS.
  • Lead and manage a team of educators to deliver high-quality training and educational programs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and senior decision makers to identify and understand the educational needs of the Trust and its staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in healthcare education and incorporate new techniques, technologies, and methodologies to enhance quality of learning.

Person Specification


  • Essential:
  • Masters level education or equivalent in health, education, or leadership-related studies.
  • Specialist training or experience in education and/or management and leadership, with a clear and substantial knowledge or experience in a role-related specialist area.
  • Previous experience working in an acute healthcare environment.
  • Experience in staff training and development at an organisational level.
  • Evidence of high-quality leadership and management of a staff group and/or service.
  • Evidence of lead roles in department/service/organisational projects.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Able to manage own portfolio of work and flexibility to cope with new and changing demands.
  • Ability to suggest changes to own and others' practice and contribute to service improvements.
  • Evidence of role modelling own duties to the highest standard.
