About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Education Team at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a key role in developing, delivering, and evaluating education and training on palliative care across the hospice and wider healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver high-quality education and training on palliative care using a variety of teaching methods, including face-to-face and virtual delivery.
  • Participate in the design, delivery, and evaluation of teaching sessions for both hospice staff and external partners.
  • Assist the Head of Education and Practice Development in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of education.
  • Act as an educational and information resource for other professionals.
  • Role model an awareness of professional developments in nursing and palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Participate in delivering clinical supervision, restorative/resilience-based supervision.
  • Work with and alongside staff on induction and preceptorship programs to support practice and competence.
  • Participate in the delivery of pre and post-registration educational programs, including supporting students on placement.

Person Specification

  • Registered General Nurse.
  • Degree-level qualification in Palliative Care or equivalent level of experience.
  • Evidence of continued professional development.
  • Teaching qualification or relevant experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care.
  • Relevant post-registration experience.
  • Experience of designing, delivering, and evaluating teaching.
  • Experience of multi-professional working.
  • UK Driving License and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
