About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team at Forward Role. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing prospective clients that have a potential need for our unique proposition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a business development plan that aligns with our growth strategy and targets core vertical sectors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within these core vertical sectors.
  • Present our joined-up value proposition and service offerings to potential clients, emphasising our unique expertise, track record, and the impact we can have on their business, whilst demonstrating a deep understanding of their needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with delivery teams to resource and transition opportunities effectively for pitching and progression to closure.
  • Meet annual sales targets and monthly quotas, providing regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key client stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Work with the senior leadership team to align business development strategies with company goals.
  • Conduct market and client research/analysis to identify ideal prospect clients and understand their challenges and opportunities.
  • Represent Forward Role at industry events to enhance our presence within relevant sectors.
  • Monitor industry trends, analyse competitor activities, and identify potential target markets.
Requirements
  • 3+ years sales experience
  • Demonstrated, consistent success in business development or sales, ideally within the creative, design and development, or technology sectors.
  • Comprehensive understanding of our market and its dynamics.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and driven to achieve results.
  • Collaborative team player with outstanding communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to establish credibility and trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong influencing capabilities.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required to meet clients and represent Forward Role at industry events.
