About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and friendly Receptionist to join our team at Blackheath Standard PMS. As a key member of our Reception Team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the reception desk, greeting patients and visitors with a professional and friendly manner.
- Efficiently manage the booking system, signposting patients to relevant services.
- Answer incoming calls, respond to queries, and manage email correspondence promptly.
- Assist clinicians as needed, including handling paperwork, stocking consultation rooms, and daily end-of-day duties to ensure infection control standards.
- Manage office supplies, handle incoming/outgoing post, and perform general administrative duties.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
Requirements
- Previous experience in dealing with the public, such as a receptionist or customer service role.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize own workload.
- Calm and caring attitude.
Desirable Qualifications and Skills
- Previous work experience in General Practice or a similar setting.
- Basic IT skills with experience of working with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
- GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent.
