About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to join our team, responsible for meeting the purchasing requirements of Clarke Energy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring best value for the company by selecting the right product on the basis of price, quality, and supplier reliability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the purchasing cycle in accordance with agreed procedures and quality standards.
  • Issue tenders and raise enquiries, place and monitor the progress of orders, and identify and deal with issues as they arise.
  • Develop and maintain proactive and competitive relationships with suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and apply agreed procedures to assess potential suppliers for their suitability to be included on the CEL approved supplier list.
  • Use and maintain 4PS in real time to monitor the progress of orders and jobs.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Good IT skills, including experience of working with Excel.
  • Desirable: Degree in business or related subject, A level standard of education, CIPS qualification or a willingness to work towards, experience of working with ordering, stock control and accounting systems, awareness of financial analysis techniques.
