Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Procurement Specialist to support our team in meeting the purchasing requirements of Clarke Energy. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring best value for the company by selecting the right product on the basis of price, quality, and supplier reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the purchasing cycle in accordance with agreed procedures and quality standards
- Develop and maintain proactive and competitive relationships with suppliers
- Monitor supplier performance and apply agreed procedures to assess potential suppliers for their suitability to be included on the approved supplier list
- Use and maintain 4PS in real-time to monitor the progress of orders and jobs
- Ensure that current supplier performance data is logged into the Continual Improvement System
About You:
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with good IT skills and experience of working in a busy office environment. You will be an advocate and champion for the Procurement department, helping to promote the professional qualities of the department within the organization and building relationships with internal customers.
Requirements:
- Experience of working in a busy office environment
- Good IT skills, experience of working with Excel
- Degree in business or related subject (desirable)
- A level standard of education (desirable)
- CIPS qualification or a willingness to work towards (desirable)
- Experience of working with ordering, stock control, and accounting systems (desirable)
- Awareness of financial analysis techniques (desirable)
