About the Role

The Purchasing team at Clarke Energy strives to ensure we get the best value for the Company by selecting the right product on the basis of price, quality, and supplier reliability.

The department helps to source, introduce and manage direct and indirect suppliers into the Clarke Energy supply chain.

Our suppliers provide a range of global products and services from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers) engine parts, to subcontractor services and office supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the purchasing cycle in accordance with agreed procedures and quality standards.
  • Place and monitor the progress of orders, expediting and running 4PS reports.
  • Identify and deal with issues as they arise, liaising with internal customers.
  • Manage goods receiving orders when appropriate.
  • Monitor supplier performance.
  • Apply agreed procedures to assess potential suppliers for their suitability to be included on the CEL approved supplier list.
  • Manage CIS status of approved suppliers.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment.
  • Good IT skills, experience of working with Excel.
  • Experience of working with ordering, stock control and accounting systems.
  • Awareness of financial analysis techniques.
  • Experience in Ireland/European Markets would be an advantage.
