Job Summary

Consultant Psychiatrist - General Adult Psychiatry, Initial Response Service, Blackburn

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry, working within the Initial Response Service in Blackburn. The post is full-time (10PA) and offers a range of benefits, including a study leave budget, opportunities for clinical supervision, and a relocation package.

Main Duties

The overall aim of the IRS Team is to be the point of initial referral and assessment in Pennine Lancashire for people aged 16 years and over presenting with mental health needs. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide medical leadership within the IRS Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and work with medical and non-medical colleagues as part of MDT working.
