About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of the Pennine Initial Response Service (IRS), based at Daisyfield Mill, Blackburn.

Main Responsibilities

The Consultant will provide medical leadership within the IRS Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and work with medical and non-medical colleagues as part of MDT working. The overall aim of the IRS Team is to be the point of initial referral and assessment in Pennine Lancashire for people aged 16 years and over presenting with mental health needs.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will hold full GMC registration and be included on the Specialist register of the GMC or be eligible for entry to the Specialist Register within 6 months of the interview date. Section 12 Approved status and Approved Clinician Status are also required.
