Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team as a Specialist Midwife for Diabetes Care. The successful candidate will have a special interest in diabetes management and a strong passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Lead Midwife for Diabetes in maintaining specialist nursing/midwifery care for patients requiring specialist care.
  • Maintain and develop a quality service by implementing and embedding evidence-based changes into clinical practice.
  • Provide specialist training across functional boundaries, as required.
  • Improve and standardize diabetes care within the maternity services of NUH.
  • Deliver the antenatal midwifery pathway for women with diabetes in the ANC.
  • Manage women with diabetes who are post-partum.
  • Work across site: QMC Campus/City Campus.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Midwife with a degree in Midwifery or related subject.
  • At least 2 years' experience working as a midwife with a special interest in diabetes management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individual care needs.
  • Ability to make complex judgements about clinical issues.
