**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Midwife to join our team at the Transformation Unit. As a Midwife Specialist in Diabetes Care, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to women with diabetes during pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diabetes Care: Provide specialist nursing/midwifery care for women with diabetes, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Quality Service: Maintain and develop a quality service for women with diabetes, ensuring that care is evidence-based and meets the needs of our patients.
- Training and Education: Provide training and education to midwives and other healthcare professionals on diabetes care in pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatally.
- Research and Development: Participate in research and development activities to improve diabetes care in pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatally.
- Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to junior midwives and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Registered Midwife with a degree in Midwifery or a related subject.
- Experience: At least 2 years' experience working as a midwife, with a focus on diabetes care.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with women, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of diabetes care in pregnancy, childbirth, and postnatally, including current best practices and research.
