Maths Learning Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Maths Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving Secondary School in Lambeth. This is an excellent opportunity for recent Maths graduates to gain valuable classroom experience and make a real difference in students' academic progress.
About the RoleThe Maths Teaching Assistant will provide 1:1 and small group support to students within the Maths department, assisting class teachers in delivering lesson content and helping students achieve their academic goals. You will work closely with experienced Maths teachers and have opportunities to develop your teaching skills and classroom expertise through regular training sessions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in the Maths department
- Assist class teachers in delivering lesson content and supporting student learning
- Develop skills in classroom management and behaviour support
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in Maths or a related subject from a top UK university
- Strong A-Level and GCSE results, particularly in Maths
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An ability to work effectively in a team environment
This Maths Teaching Assistant role offers a competitive salary of £500-£520 per week, plus the opportunity to gain valuable experience in education and inspire young learners. The term-time only position provides a healthy work-life balance, with full-time hours from Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm.
