Exceptional Care Assistant Opportunity at Crosslaw House Care Home

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Crosslaw House Care Home in Lanark, South Lanarkshire.

Salary: £12.10 per hour

About the Role

As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to our residents, including assisting with daily routines, promoting independence, and ensuring their overall health and happiness.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist residents with daily routines, from getting dressed to staying active, while encouraging them to make positive choices and remain as independent as possible.
  2. Follow and support each resident's personalized care plan, providing hands-on help and thoughtful attention to their individual needs.
  3. Keep a close eye on residents' health, communicating any concerns to the Nurse or Clinical Deputy Manager, and helping with calls to relatives or healthcare professionals.
  4. Uphold the dignity and respect of each resident, ensuring they feel valued and cared for in every interaction.
  5. Encourage social interactions among residents and with staff, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  6. Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable living spaces, and respond quickly to emergencies or call bells.
  7. Assist residents who need extra help with eating and drinking, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
About You

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in caring for the elderly and a commitment to delivering excellent service. Ideally, you will have at least 6 months of experience as a Care Assistant, but we welcome those with transferable skills.

The successful candidate will possess integrity, respect, and a strong sense of teamwork, and will be passionate about providing high-quality care to our residents.
