About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Secretary to join our busy Dermatology team. As a key member of the team, you will provide administrative support to our consultants and junior medical staff, with a focus on audio typing and cross-cover for leave.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the team, including typing correspondence and managing consultant diaries.
  • Liaise with the Team Leader to ensure departmental priorities are met and provide cross-cover for secretarial team during annual leave and sickness.
  • Manage patients' new and follow-up appointments, using the PAS system and liaising with appropriate departments.
  • Receive and respond to patient and staff enquiries, resolving complex issues and escalating as necessary.
  • Cooperate with the introduction of new procedures, policies, or technology, including technology associated with the Patient Administration System (PAS).
