Join Our Team as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at Ivetsey Bank Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to young people with severe or complex mental health conditions.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with a CCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. You will be working on our General Adolescent Unit, providing intensive inpatient treatment to young people with severe or complex mental health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend family meetings, case review meetings, and discharge planning meetings as required.
  • Provide supervision to your allocated junior doctor.
  • Prepare for and participate in external reviews (CQC, Quality Network reviews); liaison with NHSE and participation in London networks.
  • Participate in service development, through research, innovation, and local audit.
  • Supervision and support of the site-based junior doctor.
  • Engagement in National Networks.
  • Ongoing personal development through CPD and annual appraisal (and adhering to the GMC's Good Medical Practice).
