Job Title: Deputy Manager for Residential Care

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our team at Polaris Community. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of our residential care service.

About the Role:

The Deputy Manager will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Registered Manager in the management of the care home, including supervising staff and ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained.
  • Assisting with the development and implementation of care plans for young people, ensuring their individual needs are met and their rights are respected.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to staff, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensuring the care home is run in accordance with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted and Health and Safety standards.
  • Collaborating with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for young people.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years' experience in residential childcare, with a proven track record of leadership and staff supervision.
  • A Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with young people, staff, and external agencies.
  • A commitment to ongoing personal development and a willingness to learn and adapt to changing circumstances.
