Job Title: Tour Operations Coordinator

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and coordinating tours and excursions to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for clients. The role involves meticulous planning, effective communication, and a customer-centric approach to deliver high-quality travel services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing comprehensive tour itineraries that encompass transportation, accommodation, meals, activities, and other logistical details.
  • Ensuring tours and itineraries are well organised, efficient, and within a feasible schedule while also making sure regulations and requirements for each destination are met.
  • Prioritizing customer satisfaction by understanding clients' needs, preferences, and special requests and efficiently communicating with other departments to guarantee expectations are met.
  • Facilitating final itineraries to local suppliers and Long Distance Coach and obtaining their details 1 to 2 days before the tour departure.
  • Collaborating with sales' offices and Air Ticket Support to efficiently book group flight tickets and ensure rail tickets are received by hotels/local offices in time.
  • Meeting and greeting clients/tour leaders and accompanying VIP groups when required.
  • Proactively investigating, addressing, and resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the tour, such as transportation delays or changes in itinerary.
  • Making courtesy calls and paying visits to suppliers and tour leaders in order to gather feedback and ensure this is duly recorded on a daily basis.
  • Monitoring the performance of suppliers and service providers to ensure standards are met and good quality services are being offered and issuing clear and concise reports accordingly.
  • Negotiating compensation with tour leaders and suppliers to minimize loss for Miki and to maximize profit margin through promoting our other products and services.

Requirements:

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Additional knowledge of Chinese or any Asian language preferable
  • Willingness to carry out occasional weekend work
  • High levels of organisation and accuracy
  • Able to deliver and perform under pressure
  • Technical aptitude with an ability to thrive in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adapt to a diverse and multi-cultural environment
