Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The successful candidate will work within the i-Thrive framework, providing assessment and treatment of children and young people with serious and complex mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments of children and young people's mental health needs and associated risk
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate therapeutic interventions and manage own caseload from referral to discharge
  • Provide comprehensive formulations of needs and appropriate onwards signposting
  • Participate in regular reviews of cases and attend CAMHS case discussions, conferences, and reviews as appropriate

Requirements
  • Current registration with the NMC, Allied Health Professional with HCPC registration, or UKCP registration and commitment to CPD
  • Relevant post-registration qualifications relevant to children's and adolescent mental health and systemic therapeutic skills
  • Experience of using assessment skills of mental illness and risk in children and young people
  • Working knowledge of how specialist child and adolescent mental health services are organised and operate
