Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales and Revenue Strategist to lead our Room & Events Sales Team and drive the hotel's revenue growth in the Luxury London market. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to maximize room revenue and expand existing business through promotional efforts and sales channels.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Revenue Growth Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve budgeted rooms revenue targets, working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to identify opportunities and monitor progress.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing sales team through leadership, training, and coaching, setting targets and supporting their future success.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on current market conditions, including fair market share through STR, to ensure the hotel remains competitive and proactive in responding to changing customer needs and preferences.
  • Sales and Marketing Planning: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop and execute hotel sales and marketing plans that accurately interpret and support the objectives of the business.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and participate in monthly profit and loss reviews, providing accurate and timely reports that meet the needs of the hotel and the management company.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years' experience in a sales position, with experience as a department head;
  • A relevant degree in sales, business development, or another relevant business field from an academic institution;
  • Excellent selling capabilities, with the ability and desire to coach selling techniques to team members;
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends, and develop solutions to these challenges;
  • Familiarity with Opera Sales and Catering, Word, and Excel;
  • The ability to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment;
  • Excellent presentation skills, with a commitment to deliver a high level of customer service;
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team to perform beyond expectations.
