Engineering Governance Specialist

The BAE Systems Global Combat Air Programme/Future Combat Air System Acquisition Programme is a prestigious project that requires experienced professionals to drive its success. As a key member of the programme integration team, you will play a vital role in supporting UK industry and International Partners in the creation, development, and deployment of parts of the Engineering Operating Framework and Governance System.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum
Job Description:
This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer working in Engineering Governance to join our team. Your primary responsibilities will include creating and developing parts of the engineering operating framework and governance system along with policies and processes for the design and development phase of the programme. You will also be responsible for creating an internal assurance framework, working with the Airworthiness Team to support design organisation approvals and the appointment of technical roles, and acting as one of the focal points for engineering governance between the joint business entity and the UK industry Lead Systems Integrator.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in a STEM subject or equivalent relevant experience
- Relevant experience in Engineering Governance on Defence programmes
- Experience in creating and applying engineering processes, tools, and approaches for creative solutions, whilst meeting governance requirements
- Previous experience managing a small team, task management, performance reviews, and talent management
